Subrosa pro rider Hoang Tran has been testing a prototype of his new signature Villicus Prime frame, and it’s amazing! The Villicus Prime is the 3rd installment of his tried and true Villicus frame with some really cool upgrades, and changes.
One big change that Hoang wanted was to raise the stand over height. We moved it up to 9″ which will give the bike a more stable feel in the air. Hoang wanted to keep his geometry the same as he previous bikes, because his bike already rides and handles amazing, we just felt that minor tweaks were the way to go.
We stuck with the Subrosa custom wishbone juction, and added our custom Subrosa dropouts with built in chain tensioners. These work amazing, and are totally hidden in the frame. Also the best part is that you can simply remove the bolts if you don’t want to use them.
