We’ve been working on it and testing it for a while now, and we’re stoked that the Griffin Frame is arriving in stores as I type this! Check out all the spec and details of Subrosa pro Mark Burnett’s new signature frame!
Typically, if you get on the Subrosa team you work your way up to this, but when your name is Mark Burnett, we don’t hesitate to get started on your signature parts. His new signature line is debuting with his first signature Subrosa frame dubbed the Griffin.
Features on his frame include: Top and DownTube Subrosa gussets, hydro-formed downtube, CNC shaped BB shell, built in seat post clamp, removable brake mounts, laser cut seat stay bridge, tapered seat stays and ovalized chain stays and CNC Dropouts with weight relief on the inside.
What do some of these features mean to you? Well the hydro-formed downtube shape is very subtle. The slightly flattens and widens at the BB junction to provide a wider welding surface area for strength and to reduce side to side flex of the frame.
The ovalized chain stays allows more clearance for wider tires (2.50 will fit slammed) and it also allows room to run hubs guards on both sides.
The Subrosa Griffin Frame is arriving in stores around the world now, and will arrive in the U.S. in the next two weeks.
