I’ve been losing my mind watching it rain in Portland, so I finally loaded up the car to head south for thewinter. I hit the road only to do this, one new thermostat later and I was on my way. I made it about 4 hours before I couldn’t turn anymore. Going down the freeway at around 90mph, steering is kind of important. I managed to slow down, and limp off the road to find my driver side tie rod seperated. Oh well, one night in a hotel, get it fixed in the morning, and be on my way again. I was back on the road by 9:30 and I was ready to drive the rest of the 17 hours to San Diego, that is until I hit this. I drove a total of 2 hours before I got to sit in 6 hours of traffic! Apperently it was snowing pretty hard on Mt.Shasta, so chains were required, obviously didn’t own chains, so after an illegal u-turn across the median, and a 40 mile drive back to the last city, I got chains, and sat in the traffic again. I waited in traffic for so long, that once we got to the mountain, there wasn’t even snow left on the road! I was really tired and bored, so I gave up, got some beers, and stopped for the night. Ever get the feeling like some power is trying to stop you from doing something? Well day 3, and I was only about 10 hours from Portland and I saw this, and you know what, they meant it. Trucks weren’t even allowed on the road, because the wind would blow them over! It was pretty nuts to say the least. Finally after all that, I made it to California, just in time to get sick, and watch it rain the days straight! Let’s hope the weather cleans up, so Hoang and I can film another teaser. Oh yeah, mom, I wore my seatbelt the whole time.
