Thanks to Joey Nicastro for the pic.

Ryan Fudger just posted a ton of pics from Baco, check em out on BMX Online.

The “Lil Wayne” Baco Jam went down this weekend at Chad Degroot’s park, Mesh. I haven’t been to a Baco Jam since the days of Baco Uncut, and they haven’t changed much. A ton of riding, a ton of riders, and free tattoos, yes, free tattoos. Some of the better tattoos included Chad Degroot’s signature, Dave Freimuth’s signature, and a picture that Spinner drew on a butt cheek. There was a rumor that Fudger paid a kid $30 bucks to get his name on his chest, but I’m not sure if this went down or not. Trey Jones took his Pandora frame to first place in am and almost pulled a 360 Flair to Fakie on a quarter in best trick, oh, did I mention he’s only 16. Morgan Wade almost hit the ceiling, moved his bars to Chicago, and tailwhipped across the park for the win in the pro finals. He also wore a Space Ghost costume and almost over heated, I’m pretty sure his sweat was sweating. Next up was best trick. People were getting loose for sure, transfers, some giant 180’s, Johnny Devlin jumped off the hightest spot in the park to flat, while I drank at the open bar, which actually would explain this. I decided to join in, and tried a gap to wall ride I’ve wanted to do for a while. Luckily, I only need one try to get it done, then it was off to downtown. Thanks to Chad for the awesome weekend, and thanks to Ben Hucke for the pics, and thanks to the guy who tattooed Chad’s signature on Ben’s hip.

Our main man responsible for how awesome the complete bikes are spec’d is G.L. Longtime Pro racer, and longtime Sparky’s employee, Greg just made the trip overseas to make sure things were going as planned and to do some quality control aswell. He sent back a bunch of pretty cool pics so, I thought it would shed some insight as to what goes into making complete bikes. Every piece of the bikes has to built in a specific order, from the wheels to how they are packaged make each factory run smooth and on time. Once everything is right, it’s wrapped so it doesnt get damaged in shipping, boxed, and loaded up in a trucks to be shipped all over the world. Pretty cool stuff, stay tuned, for more behind the scenes on G.L. and others from Subrosa, when I get to Florida later this week.

Scott Bane from Orlando sent in a handful of pics to us. First off is his new bike. It’s an honor that he chose a Subrosa for his new bike, because he’s spent the last few years riding a one of a kind custom made bike that he designed. Any ways here’s his new ride. Secondly, his wife made their baby a new blanket. No more white or baby blue frills, it’s now a Villicus Blanket! One of the Shadow’s artists, Arnaud, sent in this pic of his newest bike. I’m heading down to Orlando on Thursday for the Baco Jam, and Hoang will be in San Diego with the Give D crew at Biketoberfest. Speaking of Give D, check out Hoang, Kyle Hart, and the rest of the crew all over Defgrip.

There’s a lot of stuff going on in some different places, so I’m just gunna use todays post to send you in the right directions. First off, the always on fire Give D crew have been putting in work! One long weekend and more than 100 clips later, they put together some good stuff for Defgrip. Check out the pic I stole, some funny group shots, and a possible new web video on Defgrip. Hoang also has a video with, Jonny Devlin from Sputnic, on the Ride BMX site. Next up Adam brings up a very good point on The Come Up. Speaking of Eli, there’s some big sponsorship news on him over on the Ride U.K. site. They also link up the rest of Eli’s sponsors, and mention that the Shadow roadtrip article will be in the next issue, so be sure to check that out, it drops Oct 18th.

Since I got a new bike at Interbike, I figured I’d shoot a few pics of it, and catch up with all the Subrosa’s that have been sent in by riders. I only shot a few pics of my bike, but if you look close you can see my new Shadow Conspiracy Penumbra seat. It’s the zombie design, but on a slimmer seat with an awesome new shape to it. I had to beg G.L. for it, but I’m glad I did. You can’t tell, but I also got the new plastic Shadow pedals also. They rule! They’re super light weight, strong, and have metal pins in em. Dialed! Enough about my bike (for now) here’s a bunch from riders all over the place.
Ken from Portland.
Shawn from Portland
Adam sent in some riding shots too.
Peter Ward
Someone called Dig from that I stole from Bike Guide.
Chris Currey
Joe from a lovely place he likes to call Canada.
I’m sorry if I get this one wrong, but I think it’s Derrick from Eugene, Or.
