How to make the cut.

by Ryan Sher ~ June 29th, 2007

The Subrosa Pandora bars are available now, so while I was putting some new ones on yesterday, I shot some pictures of the proccess. We decided to add the cut guides, after I noticed an old pair of bars I had were cut off center. The guides are on both sides of the bars, and extend 2 inches from the ends of the bars, every 5mm. Slide the grips on, and count how many lines you would like to cut off, I cut to the third line in, roughly about 1 inch. The cut guides make using a hacksaw or a pipe cutter real easy. After you cut the excess off both sides, clean them off, and slide the grips on, Aqua Net hairspray works best, are those Subrosa Alameda grips? France loves Subrosa, just go to Agoride to find out.

All the bad.….

by Ryan Sher ~ June 25th, 2007

Just recently Ben Pritchard, a big part of the Rochester,NY BMX scene, passed away while racing his mountain bike. He loved riding, and taking photos, you can check out a large portion of his photos on his flickr. R.I.P. Ben. Also this weekend at the Dew Tour, Stephen Murray went down hard on a double back flip attempt. I don’t know all the details, so I won’t speculate on his injuries, but they are serious. Ride Magazine has set up an email account to sent him get well messages, and show support HERE. Also there has been a fund set up to help his family with the bills. All of us at Subrosa Wish him the best.

Steve Bates from the U.K. picked up a black Pandora, and it’s lookin real good. “Hey, just thought you might like to take a look at my new Pandora frame I built up today. It’s a shame the English weather is crappy at the moment, I really want to get out and ride. Good job on the frame though, it looks super nice and I cant wait to ride it. I cant wait to see the forks now!” Thanks for the pic Steve, and good luck with the weather. Also the boys over at Frenchy’s got in their Subrosa frames and bars, so if you live in France get on it quick, because they’re selling fast.

“I got my new bike together, new bike. big thanks to the guys at Primo for hooking up all kinds of rad parts and Henry’s Bike Shop for helping me out too. The white Subrosa frames look killa, and the forks are so freakin light and they are holdin up strong. The next photo is of Kyle Hart shredding bikes. The last one is of Ron, we recently moved into a new apartment and its been all good times! We don’t have a can opener so we use a butter knife and an old crank arm to open our Spaghetti O’s.” Hoang

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!

by Ryan Sher ~ June 18th, 2007

A big thanks to Cooper Brownlee, from Focal Point Magazine in Australia. He put up a bike check of Scott Greentree’s Raw 21“TT Pandora. Scott works at Triple Six Distribution, and I’m pretty sure this is the first Subrosa in Australia!

IT’S OFFICIAL!!!

by Ryan Sher ~ June 14th, 2007

Lucky Germans! They are the first to recieve Pandora frames, and they are psyched on them. These pics are from 2Four7 BMX Shop in Frankfurt, Germany. The shop is run by Hans and Flo, and Hans built up a white, brakless Pandora, witch might officially be the first one out! Also, we’ve been getting tons of questions about how the Raw frames look, so he’s a sneak peak.
